Turning right and entering the yard of Gyeonggijeon passing the high-standing Hongsalmun, there's the placental monument of King Yejong, who is the second son of King Sejo, under a big old tree. When a baby was born from a royal family, the placenta of the new born was put in a jar. And they buried and sealed the jar, upon which a stone-monument was set up. That's why it was called Taebong, the 'burial mound of placenta.'

The placental monument of King Yejong was set up in Taesil Village, Taesil-li, Gui-myeon, Wanju-gun. However, it was excavated by Japanese during the Japanese Colonial period, and the jar went missing. The other abandoned stone constructions were collected and restored here in Gyeonggijeon in 1970.
